21 years ago, Donald Fagen and Walter Becker (among many other performers) were asked to contribute a song for a Joni Mitchell album.
They chose the song, Carey.
When the tribute album came out in 2007, the cut was missing because (reportedly) Joni did not like it.

Never having heard the Joni Mitchell song, on first listen, it is all Steely Dan in the EMG era.
Can't wait til I have time to listen to it again.
